So what exactly is wrong is setting Resolutions again 🤔

Everyday is a new opportunity to be better and do better , SO WHY NOT ACT ON IT!

I get it , everyone is bashing New Years Resolutions because of social media post and people they deem to have failed at reaching the mark. The thing about is we don’t see behind the scenes , we don’t know the circumstances that led to the “failure” and close they are to their goals

I’m not going to harp on the negative component of Resolutions on this amazing fresh New Year Day , Lets chat about the great perks of starting goals on January 1st 😁


This season promotes Self reflection:   Goals typically derive from  a desire for change something we dont like , for example ; I dont want to be broke anymore, how do I change that? . Self reflection allows you lay out eveything you love and things youre not fond of and proceed from there.


Gym memberships: Are one of your goals to lose weight, tone up etc?…. In this day and age if we truly self reflect on all the crap we eat and ingest we should all have body goals inside and out. The perks of joining a gym in the New Year are that they are typcially offeriing a deal like No REGISTRATIONS FEES OR 1ST MONTH FREE. This perk not only beenfits your body but also your pockets.

Easy tracking:  If you are anything like me, between school calendars, doctor appointments, meals plans, tantrums and wiping poop I can barely remember how old I am.  The benefits of starting certain goals on the first of the year , you can easily back track the time lapsed etc…new-year


On that note , Happy New Year, if you havent already sit down, pray , read scripture , cry, laugh and move forward in your level up challenge…… lets get it 2019

  1. I think you make a lot of good points about resolutions. The biggest problem to me is that a year to work on something is a long time, and a lot of people set unrealistic goals for themselves. I prefer to set a broad goal like, “I’m going to be happier this year.” Then do something every month that helps me toward that broader goal. It’s more attainable that way, and I feel better by the end of the year.

    1. I completely agree , I am actually implementing quarterly goals and break it down from there. Dropping a blog about that either today or tomorrow


  2. I don’t think resolutions are bad, you just need to chose when to make them and not beat yourself up when you make a mistake


  3. I don’t think resolutions are bad. It’s just an incentive to start something new that we want to do. Life gets in the way sometimes, but we can pick up and carry on regardless.


  4. I’m not a big one for resolutions really. But then I got to your last paragraph. Praying and reading scripture are right up there on the things I want to do more of in 2019. So whilst it’s not exactly a resolution, it is a big focus for me this year


  5. I don’t think resolutions are bad. I’m more of a goal setter myself. I feel if I start off with huge resolutions, expectations are too high. I start with small goals and get bigger and bigger


  6. I totally agree with you that every day is a new opportunity! I don’t believe in resolutions because at times it is too stressful for me. Instead, I try to set smart and achievable monthly goals!

  8. I don’t think is wrong to take new year’s good resolutions! I just personally DON’T wait for the new year to change what I don’t like in my life. I Started a more healthy living it was somewhen in the middle of May 2018. See what I mean? Many people delay “fixing” what they don’t like in their lives and then make it a new year resolution, that’s typically procrastinating in my book. To be successful in changing things you don’t like in your life, you have to have determination, above all, imo there is not a precise date for that!
